They are competent, friendly, and they do exactly what we ask.<br>But can I ask you something directly \u2014 why don\u2019t they ever suggest anything?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Me:<\/strong><br>\u201cWhat do you mean?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Customer:<\/strong><br>\u201cFor example, last week. We clearly needed to improve our IT infrastructure.<br>Your expert saw it \u2014 but said nothing.<br>They could have proposed a solution, but didn\u2019t. Why?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">This conversation is not an exception.<br>It is everyday reality in many organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-text-subtitle has-large-font-size is-style-text-subtitle--2\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:600\"><strong>The Expert Role Has Changed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-text-subtitle has-medium-font-size is-style-text-subtitle--3\">Today, an expert\u2019s role is no longer purely technical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-text-subtitle has-medium-font-size is-style-text-subtitle--4\">It is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-medium-font-size\">\n<li>interactive<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>commercial<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and deeply connected to the customer\u2019s business<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Customers no longer expect experts to simply execute tasks.<br>They expect them to <strong>think with them<\/strong>, challenge assumptions, and proactively create value. When this does not happen, opportunities are missed \u2014 quietly but consistently.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-text-subtitle has-large-font-size is-style-text-subtitle--5\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:600\"><strong>Silence Is Rarely a Lack of Competence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-text-subtitle has-medium-font-size is-style-text-subtitle--6\">Experts usually see the opportunity.<br>They understand the customer\u2019s situation. What stops them is something else:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-medium-font-size\">\n<li>fear of being \u201ctoo salesy\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>uncertainty about boundaries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>lack of confidence in how to open the conversation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>organizational norms that reward delivery, not initiative<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">This is not a skills problem alone.<br>It is a <strong>capability and culture problem<\/strong>.<br><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator
